ArtFest Midwest

ArtFest Midwest in Des Moines, Iowa is a favorite show of ours. It's very well organized and is a rare indoor show for us, so we're weren't disturbed by the morning thunderstorms.
John was honored to be selected again as a Demonstrating Iowa Artist.

Lt. Gov. Patty Judge (center, in blue) spoke at the ArtFest this year. She's a big supporter of the arts and she took time to visit almost all of the artists.

It's always fun to help a customer select her first piece of woodenware. This little lady certainly has "good taste". :-)

Snake Alley Art Fair

This show is on Father's Day each year and so for us, as for many in the area, it is a family day. This year we were pleased to be joined by our oldest son and his little boy. Here's a photo of three men named John Weyer! :-)
The weather was quite hot (isn't it always at Snake Alley?) and very humid. We were, however, spared the predicted morning and afternoon thunderstorms as they came before the show and later that night. We enjoyed visiting with our customers and friends. It seems that everyone in the region must come to Snake Alley. :-)
